There are different basketball positions for each player on the court. This is necessary to form a strategy to win the game. Positions include point guard, shooting guard, small forward, power forward, and center. The point guard acts as a coach on the court, conducting specific strategies the team could use to win.

The shooting guard needs to be a player good at 2-point and 3-point shots and must be skilled in speed and dribbling. The small forward is the most versatile of the players and must be an excellent defender and shot taker.

The power forward is the player that can get their teammates the opening they need to be able to score. They must be tall, strong, and able to block the opponent’s shots from entering the rim at a close distance.

The center is another player who must also be good at blocking shots and proficient in offense tactics. They should be able to deceive the opponent with dribbles and false starts so that the other teammates can make the basket.
